Bricks + Agent has connected with Xero to make life easier for service providers.
In this article we will be covering:
Please see the the video on how to invoice and quote through Bricks +Agent using a Xero integration, and explain how this works with or without existing Xero Line Items.
These are the part of the integration that are currently active.
From the left navigation, select "Settings" and click on "Accounting" option. Since we are talking about Xero integration, click on the button to connect and sync your account.
Once you click on the option, you'll be directed to log in to your Xero account and you will need to log in with your Xero account credentials.
When you've connected to your account, you will be requested to allow access to Bricks + Agent, and when allowed you will be taken back to B+A platform.
If you "Allow access" we will be able to access your item details and account details from Xero.
Note: While you log in as the "Organisational Admin" you are able to add items from The Bricks + Agent interface as well, which will be synced and updated in Xero.
As the 4th step, you'll be directed to the B+A portal. Go back to the "Accounting" option in "Settings" and click on "Sync Data" to initiate the synchronisation. After this is pressed the first sync will run. After this the Xero activity will be updated automatically without the need to sync manually again.
When the sync is completed, the item list defined in your Xero account will be listed out here.
You can unselect any items do not wish to use by removing them, noting they will not appear on quotes or invoices. You can add them back here at anytime.
You can now start to quote and invoice using Xero. They have replaced the default non integrate quote and invoice options.
If you have any issues, please contact our support team firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
1. Why are quotes draft invoices?
Quotes are stored in Xero as draft invoices. If you are unsuccessful in a quotation and you wish to remove the draft invoice you can do so in Xero directly.
2. How do I unlink Xero?
You will need to go into xero add ins section and remove Bricks + Agent. Once this is done, please log a support ticket with us and we can delink the integration from our side as well.
